St. Spyridon
An Anniversary Tribute Video Production
In February, 2008, St Spyridon Greek Orthodox church celebrated two major milestones – the 50th anniversary of the Parish and the 25th anniversary of the college. This well-respected Parish approached StarScribe to produce a tribute film befitting the celebrations. The result? A 15 minute emotional film that combined archival footage, photos as well current footage of the College students recording a remastered version of their School Anthem.
As well as commemorating the special anniversaries, the film was also designed to raise funds for the upcoming College renovations. As a result, part of the film brief included filming NSW Premier Morris Iemma as he announced a generous donation on behalf of the State Government.
The film was screened at a gala dinner attended by over 700 people and, ‘there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.’ Also, since the event, we have edited highlights for other School and Parish events and created a tribute DVD that will also help the fundraising efforts.
